How many treatments will I need?
Depending on the presentation of the pigmented spots and lesions, a number of the same treatment or a combination of other treatments with Ruvy Touch may be needed. Your laser technician will customise a treatment plan for you after assessing your skin.
What can I expect during the treatment?
The treated area is thoroughly cleansed. Your eyes are then covered with protective goggles.
You will feel some warmth on the lesion. The use of topical anaesthetic cream is not needed.
How long is the downtime?
It takes up to 4 weeks for the skin to completely recover. Immediately after the treatment, the treated area will feel warm for a few hours. Some redness and darkening of the lesion will occur and micro crusting will form. This will drop off naturally over this time period.
To ensure full recovery and optimal results it is important to avoid sun exposure and picking or scratching the treated area. Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided to you on the treatment day.
When can I start to see results?
You may begin to see an improvement after a series of treatments. The lesion is less pronounced.
