Summer is a great time for a skin treatmentLately, people have been asking me if it’s better not to do some skin treatments in summer, so I want to reassure everyone that the warmer weather is actually a good thing.

I understand the thought process that being outside more, and being exposed to stronger UV rays for longer, might be a problem, and the area that’s been treated might get too dark.

In reality, it’s quite the opposite, as heat helps the skin recover and heal, so healing times are actually shorter in summer than winter.

Without getting into too much detail, heat helps the blood vessels dilate which in turn increases the flow of oxygen-rich blood. That means better healing and faster regeneration of any damaged tissue.

Of course, there’s never a “bad” time to have a treatment, and I encourage you to come in and see us whenever you want, whether it’s just because you feel your skin needs some help to be at its best, or you have something that you’re worried about.

Regardless of when you get a treatment, dr. dream Australia offers very specific after-treatment care to ensure that your skin recovers fully and is ready to cope with whatever it’s exposed to.

That’s perhaps the most important aspect. After any treatment, you can’t just think the job’s done the minute you walk out the door. You have to take care, for example using the right creams to assist healing, for at least several days afterwards.

But that’s what we’re here for: to give you the right treatment, after-care advice, follow-ups, and skin care products formulated to give your skin the nutrients it needs most during the healing process.

At the same time, we’re always here to give you advice on what’s best for your skin, whether that’s a treatment, a change to your skincare routine or the best products for your skin type.

If you have any questions, don’t put it off and don’t be left wondering, come in and see us for a free consultation and assessment. Just think of the peace of mind you’ll get from knowing that you’re doing the right thing.

One thing that I also want to remind everyone is that you should always use sunscreen, year round, because skin needs protection from the harmful effects of UV, so please get into that habit.

I also realise that this is a time of year when you might be out and about a bit more, not only enjoying the outdoors but also socialising, with end-of-year and Christmas functions, so why not treat yourself to a Dream Prestige Stem Cell Mask, to revitalise your skin and make it glow?

On that subject, why not look to dr. dream for a Christmas present for a friend or loved one? If you get a gift voucher, they can come in and we can make sure they get the right products for their skin type.

There are lots of good reasons to come and see us, but definitely, if you have been thinking about a treatment, there’s no better time to come in and see dr. dream Australia.
